Scholarship Lesson 0 - Introduction

Lesson 0: Introduction

Welcome to Scholarships for Canadian Students!

This course is going to help you:

  • Save time searching for scholarships
  • Give structure to your scholarship application process
  • Stay organised and meet all your deadlines
  • Prepare for each semester’s scholarship deadlines ahead of time
  • Schedule the work on your scholarship applications around your courses and assignments

I’ve been working with students for over 15 years, and this course follows the same process I use when I work with students one-on-one.

To give you an example of what you’ll get done, I used this process to work with a student for six sessions in August that follow these lessons, and by the beginning of September she had all her scholarship applications ready that were due until the end of December. This means she could focus on her studies in the Fall semester and just return to her scholarships when she had time again.

The benefit of doing this course is that you can work at your own pace; there’s no complicated scheduling with another person to work the lessons into your schedule. Plus, you don’t have to pay the full price of one-on-one coaching, as this course is much more affordable.

Each lesson is set up with a video that includes Captions, with an available transcript in case you prefer to read along. You can also change the speed of the video so it suits your learning style - speed it up or slow it down!

Each lesson also comes with slides available in PDF format, so you can download and keep them for reference.

Plus, you have an opportunity to submit questions at the end of each lesson. If there was anything you didn’t understand or want further information on, just submit your question and we’ll get back to you.

What’s actually going to be covered?

  • Basic info on student funding & types of scholarships
  • Create your own customised scholarship list
  • Expand and build your customised scholarship list
  • Craft excellent scholarship applications
  • Maintaining your list and organising your applications

Are you ready to start? Head to the next lesson now, to learn about the different types of scholarships and other funding available to Canadian students.
