Course Introduction

Please note that this course is currently being built and the full course launches September 9, so check back for new additions!

Welcome to my academic research course!

Here's what you'll find in this course:

  • Short videos on a variety of topics
  • Audio recordings you can download and listen to at your leisure
  • Videos have adjustable speed
  • Slides are included in PDF form (when there are slides in the video)

Each video also has a transcript, which is not an exact word-for-word transcript, but a written version of the video for those who prefer to read.

You can go through these videos however you'd like! I've set them up in the order that I think will be most helpful to you, but you can also just search for what you need.

I recommend starting with the videos on "the basics" and "critical thinking for research" and then "where to start."

How will this course help you?

  • Learn the basics of conducting research for your courses.
  • Learn tips for how to think critically about your course materials and other academic materials.
  • Perform better on your research projects and also other readings and assignments.
  • Get the concrete steps to take to find academic articles to support your essays and assignments.

Questions? Add them in the comments and I’ll get back to you! And you can always reach out to me: [email protected]

See you in the next video!
